EGGS BENEDICT

Eggs Benedict Charles Meyer.

How has it been 7 weeks since we collected this little Gremlin? I don't quite know but I've certainly enjoyed the ride! Now that he isn't waking up every two hours at night, relieving himself anywhere he pleases and attempting to commit suicide via stamping I can safely say he is part of our little team! Hannah has been planning to get a Frenchie since our trip to Vancouver last year when she fell in love with one we met at Bark & Fritz. (Note: Just thinking about Vancouver makes me miss is dearly. It's almost a year to the day)

Hannah has spent the last year researching the breed, engrossing herself almost completely in everything French Bulldog, talking to countless breeders to find one she is happy with, going to meet ups in London to see how they are in a 'pack', making sure she knows anything and everything about diet, training, etiquette, veterinary surgeries, insurance, health problems, crate training and learning how to spot a well bred Frenchie. She was like a women possessed and I've loved watching her passion and experience grow before we finally took the plunge on 5th May when we collected him from Charlotte who happens to be one of the most genuinely lovely and supportive women I have ever met. Seriously, her passion for these puppies was palpable as even today she texts Hannah to check everything is ok.

FATHER'S DAY

Happy Farther's Day!

My Father has been going through the wars over the last couple of months and is currently fighting with a detached retina in one eye. This means he can't work and is trying to decide between having an operation that will result in cataracts within a year or waiting for up to 2 months for the blood to leave his eye so he can have laser treatment to 'weld' the retina back in place.

All in all not a great situation! I'm hoping this Father's day will take his mind off his woes and onto the delicious meal we're having this evening with a glass of custom Rose I've made him.

Hannah found these free printable stickers for father's day here.

JUBILEE PARTY

Miss Sophie Turner of Pretty Perfect Cakes hosted a little Jubilee inspired party before the long weekend and with the promise of sunshine, barbecue & cocktails Hannah and I jumped at the chance to get out of our little flat as we'd both been suffering from cabin fever since getting Eggs. That little aliment is passing quickly now that he can be in public but Sophie's party fell in nicely with his last injection before being allowed out into the real word.

We grabbed some ingredients for our go to cocktail - the ever delicious Moscow Mule, jumped in the car with all our gear and began the windy drive to Sophie's quaint little house nestled in the Chiltern Hills. Once we'd got Eggs settled in some shade we sat and enjoyed burgers, sausages, Pimms and various other concoctions from the bountiful supply of spirits and mixers.

All in all a lovely day filled with laughs, food and amazing afternoon light. I'm just wishing this weather had stuck around for a little longer!

MONMOUTH COFFEE

I was in London for work a little while ago and found myself in need of a coffee break, after some googling I found Monmouth Coffee was only a few hundred metres up the road and set out to find it. I'd heard of the Monmouth Coffee group via young and foodish but I've never gotten around to trying one of their locations as I love Note Music & Coffee for breakfast whenever I'm in London.

I was very pleasantly surprised by what I found, their space is small and jammed with communal tables full of pastries, breads and preserves with a completely separate counter facing out onto the street selling freshly ground coffee from all over the world.

Unfortunately when I arrived the queue was out of the door so I grabbed a take away Flat White, Instagrammed the interior and left to take a walk around Borough Market just over the road.

I'll definitely be coming back with Hannah for a spot of breakfast and shopping next time we're in London, the coffee is fantastically smooth and the space is ideal for a lazy morning pastry before a casual walk around the market to finish the morning. All we need is an excuse!
Did I mention its also right below The Shard

SPRING

I'm finally getting around to posting on here after a month of exams, moving house and getting a dog. For years I've been maintaining a Tumblr but I get frustrated with how the website works so I've decided to move over to a different platform and Blogger seemed like the best option since so many people I respect and admire use the platform.

This space will be a journal of my life through photograph with all its week-to-week adventures, caffeine hits, food induced comas and days out anywhere and everywhere.

And with that here is Spring as I've seen it.
